About the Position:

Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church is actively seeking a full-time Pastor of Family Life.  The goal of the Pastor of Family Life is to bring the church alongside families to support them in the process of developing stronger – godlier family relationships.  The Pastor of Family Life will minister to parents, children, and grandparents.  When churches come along side families and families are fully integrated into the body of Christ they become durable and growing entities bringing glory to God.  The Pastor of Family Life will be the catalyst providing leadership, guidance and planning to impact families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Pastor of Family Life at MGBC will:

·       Be called to shepherd the church of Jesus Christ

·       Match the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7

·       Maintain an intimate and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.

·       Possess practical experience with Life/Small Group formation, development and implementation.

·       Possess marriage and family counseling experience.

·       Develop relationships with families that will lead to more effective assimilation and engagement into the church body.

About the Church:

Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church has been in existence for over 120 years.  God has blessed us with many young families, children and youth.   We also employ a full time Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor, Pastor of Worship and Discipleship and a Youth and Young Adults Pastor.  A more complete overview of the church can be found at our website at mgbconline.com.

About our Region:

Martinsburg, Pennsylvania is located in rural central Pennsylvania about 20 miles southeast of Altoona.  We are about a two hour drive east of Pittsburgh and 1 hour from State College home of Penn State University.  We maintain an excellent public school system.
